San Diego County Apartment Rental Market in a Gloom

The weakening economy has brought down the house rates as well as rental rates in many places. As the economy is in gloom all over the world, this trend of plummeting house rentals is also seen in many places of the world. A new study said that rentals in San Diego County apartment market fell along with the occupancy rates.

The San Diego County of California is located near the Pacific Ocean with around 3,146,274 of population. The apartment rates in the year 2008 fell suddenly to around 1.8 percent compared to the previous year. The occupancy rates also saw a 0.11 percent fall compared to the occupancy rates of 2007.

The jobless is also one of the reasons for the fall in rental prices. But the situation is not as bad.

There are around 99,256 rental units within the county, where the average asking price for rent is seen as $1,394.

The Integration of Drug Abuse System into Criminal Justice System Might Help Many

National Institute of Drug Abuse released a press release recently saying that there are lots of prisoners who don’t get proper drug abuse treatment.

It said that there are many prisoners, who might do well if they are given proper drug abuse treatment, do not receive it.

NIDA has spent two decades on researching this poor state of prisoners and the ineffective criminal justice system against drug abuse.

According to the report, about half of the prisoners are dependent on drugs but only less then 20 percent of them gets proper treatment. Incorporating the treatment of drug abuse into the criminal justice system helps people not to fall prey of diseases like HIV, hepatitis C, and even negative effects on social behavior and family.

This also helps people to stay away from crime and from getting imprisoned again for some offence they have committed in the influence of drugs (it is estimated that most of the crimes are done under the influence of drugs).

Preparing Sundae on a Fine Sunday

These days I have become very popular. As you know that popularity is always assisted with busy life, I have become busy too. So busy that I have no time spend with my pet or water my plants. I even forgot what my hobbies were. So I started asking my friends to suggest me some hobby so that I can try it to be relaxed.

Cooking, one of my friends suggested. Not bad!

So I scheduled it on a fine Sunday and was well prepared. As it is Sunday I thought a Sundae will do well.

I borrowed a book which had the recipe of Hot fudge brownie Sundae.

I started preparing for it with the book open. Ice cream, chocolate, butter, condensed milk, and so on. I took these ingredients and looked into book for next step.

“Mix all the ingredients together; add two spoons of pepper and two spoons salt”, it said, “let it boil for 5 minutes”. I did it. Next step?

“Take it evenly into a bowl and microwave it…”

Then my kitchen started stinking with some strange smell. And I can’t tell you what happened next…

Moral: While cooking from a book, always watch out for pages which may turn, without your notice, of breeze.

Recently I have read in News paper that Britney latest album “Black out” is one of the flops in the market. Last week the album is in 29^th place in the Amazon sales ranking. Even though the previous album of Britney Spears “circus” was a flop, there were high expectations on this album.

The sales of album have shown decline compared to last week. It sold around 400,000 copies after a month of the release. Britney is also going out for tours to support her album. The album got a good craze before its release but it could not cash it later.

As a fan of Britney I never expected this kind of album. In this album I liked only two songs Heaven on Earth and Break the Ice and the remaining sixteen songs are just ordinary. But the beats of songs are good. I hope the next album of Britney will be surely one of the biggest hits.

A Different Approach of Super-Hero Movie

I never liked Bruce Willis in super hero movies. He has some other capability and some other charm. I don’t know why he always tries to be in shoes of a super hero and exaggerate himself when he could do much more in other themes.

But his performance in the movie Unbreakable was remarkable. Though the plot and the story line were boring, it had some good performances by the cast.

The movie could have fared well, if the Bruce’s character had little more power in the plot like in those classic comics of other super hero movies.

I have never heard of any successful super hero taking much time to be convinced that he is a super hero. People don’t use this formula because they know how it embraces audience. I wonder how Shyamalan dared to use this in this movie.

I am sure I am not going to purchase any DVD of this movie because it is not worth it.

They have been posing a major threat to international shipping since 1990s when the civilian war broke out in Somalia. They are now the major concern of countries that have lost some thing or the other due to their piracy.

Piracy in Somalia is turning out into a major threat for ships sailing in the seas near to Somalia. Their recent victim is Philippines’s chemical tanker was abducted by these pirates along with their 23 crew members. Their number of attacks rose to 83 with this act.

They have also tried to hijack a merchant vessel belonging to India. But their navy was successful in prevent it with their timely entry into the crime scene.

And British navy was successful in killing three pirates in the seas of Gulf of Aden. They say it is possibly the first incident to have killed any pirates since centuries.

The Miniature Pinscher

The Miniature Pinscher, also known as the Min Pin by fanciers, is a toy breed of dog. Miniature Pinschers were first bred to hunt vermin, especially rats. In its native Germany, the dog is known as the Zwergpinscher. Pinscher is the German word for biter and Zwerg means Dwarf in German. The Miniature Pinscher is also known as the "King of the Toy Dogs". Though the Miniature Pinscher is considered a toy breed, it is in fact one of the oldest of the terrier breeds.

• This breed has an insatiable curiosity, so the best toys for Miniature Pinschers are ones that stimulate their curiosity. This may include toys that move or make an interesting noise. Miniature Pinschers enjoy having a collection of such toys, which they will hoard and spend much time in moving from one collecting place to another.
• Miniature Pinschers are territorial, so they should be provided with their own place to rest and sleep, though they will commonly stake a claim to a particular piece of furniture or curtain under or behind which they will sleep when people are in the room. They prefer to sleep on soft objects as well as under soft objects, so a small blanket should be provided to cover them. Unless the owner is amenable to sharing his or her bed, bedroom doors must be kept closed at night as Miniature Pinschers will jump onto beds and crawl under the covers. Limitations of Flash memory

Flash memory is non-volatile computer memory that can be electrically erased and reprogrammed. It is a technology that is primarily used in memory cards, and USB flash drives for general storage and transfer of data between computers and other digital products.
One limitation of flash memory is that although it can be read or programmed a byte or a word at a time in a random access fashion, it must be erased a "block" at a time. This generally sets all bits in the block to 1. Starting with a freshly erased block, any location within that block can be programmed. However, once a bit has been set to 0, only by erasing the entire block can it be changed back to 1. In other words, flash memory (specifically NOR flash) offers random-access read and programming operations, but cannot offer arbitrary random-access rewrite or erase operations. A location can, however, be rewritten as long as the new value's 0 bits are a superset of the over-written value's. For example, a nibble value may be erased to 1111, then written as 1110. Successive writes to that nibble can change it to 1010, then 0010, and finally 0000. Although data structures in flash memory cannot be updated in completely general ways, this allows members to be "removed" by marking them as invalid. This technique must be modified somewhat for multi-level devices, where one memory cell holds more than one bit.

In the early 1960 Professor Neil Borden at Harvard Business School acknowledged a number of company performance actions that can influence the consumer decision to purchase goods or services. Borden suggested that all those actions of the company represented a “Marketing Mix”. Professor E. Jerome McCarthy, also at the Harvard Business School in the early 1960s, suggested that the Marketing Mix contained 4 elements: product, price, place and promotion.

• Pricing: This refers to the process of setting a price for a product, including discounts. The price need not be monetary - it can simply be what is exchanged for the product or services, e.g. time, energy, psychology or attention.
• Promotion: This includes advertising, sales promotion, publicity, and personal selling, and refers to the various methods of promoting the product, brand, or company.
• Placement (or distribution): refers to how the product gets to the customer; for example, point of sale placement or retailing. This fourth P has also sometimes been called Place, referring to the channel by which a product or services is sold (e.g. online vs. retail), which geographic region or industry, to which segment (young adults, families, business people), etc.

My First Apartment Experience

I moved into my first apartment last winter. It was among one of the fine Chicago apartments. I got many things moved into my apartment by 11pm, just some boxes and my washer dryer and freezer. My dad had some friends who came helped that night and the next day. That Friday night I slept on a blow up camping mattress on the floor since my bed was still in the truck. Saturday morning the cable guy came at 7 to connect; I had no TV in the house and had to dig my modem, router and laptop out of a box in my car for him. By 3pm I got all my stuff in with help, also got the truck returned too. I really didn't have a lot of furniture since I gave some of it to my mother and sister so some rooms were nearly empty. Now I have the place full enough.

The life in an apartment did take getting used too. I was not used to hearing occasional noise from my tenants and the people that lived in the house attached to mine. It was also the first time in years I had lived alone with no one except my cat, I had almost always had a room mate or family living with me. Once I got the unpacking done and was settled in I was one minute thankful to have the quiet and solitude and the next feeling a little lonely. Now I have adjusted fairly well the light random noises from neighbors I hardly notice, I go out and visit friends a few times a week to keep from feeling lonely and when I get bored at home I work on painting and other improvement tasks. I now I like being in my apartment and I am fine with being alone, infact I prefer it over how I used to live and what I put up with.

I came across the downtown last night when I was late from a party. And observed many things which I didn’t imagine in my 25 years of life. I saw the real face of the poverty at that time when two poor kids are crying and quarreling for a half eaten burger, which was thrown out of a car. The situation was so sorrowful. After going back to home I thought a lot about the incident and I decided to join a foundation, which works towards better life of poor children.
