Schizophrenia is a mental disorder in which the person fails to explain the differences between the real and the unreal experiences, fail to think logically and will not have the normal emotional imbalances. The cause for this kind of disorder is still unknown to science and became a controversial issue. Though many traditional and scientific methods have been followed to cure this abnormality, yoga has been proven to give many positive benefits by maintaining balance and harmony.

We never know how a person with schizophrenia behaves. He suddenly becomes anxious or feels depressed. Moreover, social isolation is the major factor that effects the lifestyle of many sufferers of this disease. In such cases attending regular yoga classes makes them mingle with a group and improves social contacts. The exercises and the practices in yoga energize their body and soul and gives them complete confidence to survive among all the people. The techniques taught to these people are a bit different from the regular ones as they are designed after considering the capabilities of the patients.

As the people suffering from schizophrenia often exhibit anxiety, stress, depression, and other kind of emotional imbalances the breathing and the meditation techniques in the yoga help them to effectively cope up with them leaving them with a peace of mind. They become more calmer and achieve more control over their moods.

Regular practice of such kind of exercise are really helpful to make the people suffer from this disorder to feel relaxed and better than their original state. It is the role of the family member to take enough care about them and to impart positive energy in them.
